Monthly NACC Canicross Meetup-3rd Saturdays at various locations in the triangle.

General Weather policies: â€‹

We do not cancel for rain but do cancel for thunder.

We may turn a run into a hike if the temperatures are too high/risk for heat injury in dogs

Some Trails in the Triangle

Trails for dog powered sports are sometimes hard to come by. Big gravel can be hard on dog paws,  and rocks/roots can bring up safety concerns for those doing wheeled sports. Remember to scout your trails on foot before adding wheels to the situation.

Umstead State Park

Many Multiuse trails that are wide packed gravel roads, as well as some singletrack that is suitable for technical canicross.

Carolina North Forest

This Park in Chapel Hill has a lovely doubletrack gravel path throughout that is suitble for all levels, and the singletrack is lovely for running.

Williamston Preserve

Multiuse trails open for bikes, hikers, runners in eastern Wake County (Check here if trails are open) Sometimes closed in wet weather. Rideable on a dog scooter.

And More...

We're always in search of soft surface doubletrack trails, or smooth singletrack trails, send us an email or post on the FB group with your favorites :)
